Frequently Asked Questions

(FAQ)

  • How long have you been open?

Our first Lawrence Drug store (pictured on this page), located in Springfield, has been open for 30 years, and our Ozark location has been open for 6 years.

  • Do you accept my insurance?

We accept most commercial insurances and Medicare Part D plans including Cox Health, Anthem/BlueCross, Aetna, Humana, Coventry, Medtracks, and United Health Care.
If you are uncertain about your insurance, please call and verify with a member of our Lawrence Drug family.

  • Do you have a drive-thru?

No, at Lawrence Drug we are committed to focusing on personal, individualized care. We don’t feel it possible to best achieve that goal via a drive-thru window. We do, however, offer local delivery and curbside pickup for your convenience.

  • What is a compounded medication?

Referred to in-house generically as a “compound", these medications are custom formulated for every patient’s individual needs. Formulations contain specific ingredients that are compounded with precise strengths and dosages. Compounding allows the pharmacist, prescriber, and patient to work together in an effort to provide the best possible individualized care for the patient.

  • What are your store hours?

Our stores in both locations are open Monday through Friday, 9 am - 6 pm, and Saturdays 9 am - 2 pm.

  • Do you offer delivery service?

Yes, we do offer weekly local delivery that is either free or low cost to most of our patients. Call whichever Lawrence Drug location you are most closely located by to request delivery service.

  • Do you accept discount cards such as GoodRx?

Typically we do not accept discount cards. A reason for this is we believe these programs lack either sustainable, transparent, or accurate pricing on generic medications. Historically, these programs charge the pharmacy or patient additional fees and most sell private patient information. These actions oppose our pharmacy’s values, so instead we elect to offer fair cash prices to our patients every day.

  • Can my prescriptions be mailed to me?

Yes, within the state of Missouri we can mail prescriptions to our patients.

  • Do you offer curbside service?

Yes, we offer curbside service for our patients’ convenience. Please call our phone number when you arrive and one of our family team members will take care of you.
